In this powerful message, Sekou explores the true nature of God’s goodness—and how experiencing that goodness should transform the way we live.
Beginning with Solomon’s temple in 2 Chronicles 5, we discover how acknowledging God’s goodness and everlasting mercy brought His glorious presence among His people.
But God’s goodness isn’t simply something to celebrate during worship. It’s something we’re called to demonstrate every day.
Through Scripture, we discover that:
✦ God is good—even when we are not. His mercy and grace extend beyond what we deserve.
✦ God’s goodness leads us to repentance. His kindness draws us toward genuine transformation.
✦ God is good TO us and THROUGH us. His goodness should be reflected in how we treat others.
✦ Evil cannot defeat God’s purposes. What others intend for harm, God can use for good.
✦ Our lives should reflect His character. We are called to demonstrate His love, mercy, and kindness—even toward those who mistreat us.
Joseph understood this when he told his brothers:
“But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good.” — Genesis 50:20
And Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.
God’s goodness is not just something we receive. It’s something we’re called to reflect.
So here’s the question:
When people encounter you, do they see the goodness of God?
